Justice Department to mobilize communities to act against women and children abuse

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development Director-General, Ms Nonkululeko Sindane will launch the department’s 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Abuse campaign in Daveyton, Gauteng on Wednesday, 25 November 2015.

The campaign, under the theme “Count me in: together moving a non-violent South Africa forward”, aims to mobilize stakeholders across society to unite against all forms of abuses against women and children. It also encourages individual and community activism to stop the scourge of abuse.

During the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Abuse campaign, a series of activities will be held throughout the country to educate communities about  the programmes available to support victims of abuse.
